🌪️ Storm Tips
Protect Your Home Before and After the Storm

✅ Before the Storm:

Be Ready

  • Secure loose items like patio furniture, grills, or garbage cans.

  • Trim back tree limbs near your roof to prevent damage.

  • Check your gutters for clogs — backed-up water can seep under shingles.

  • Know your insurance policy — make sure it covers wind and hail damage.

  • Take photos of your roof and exterior. If you need to file a claim, you’ll want a “before” reference.

🌧️ After the Storm:

What to Look For

  • Missing or lifted shingles

  • Leaks or water spots on your ceilings or walls

  • Pieces of shingles, metal, or flashing in the yard

  • Granules in your downspouts (sign of shingle wear)

Even if you don’t see obvious signs of damage, hidden storm damage can weaken your roof and cause expensive problems down the line.
